Our client is one of the largest general contractors and self-performing developers in New York City, specializing in ground-up multifamily residential developments across the five boroughs.
About the role
The Assistant Project Manager will support the full lifecycle of new, ground-up residential construction projects in New York City, working closely with the Lead Project Manager and cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Oversee subcontractor coordination, attend all OAC meetings, and draft meeting minutes.
- Report project status, costs, timelines, and schedules to upper management and key stakeholders.
- Manage project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, RFPs, and procurement processes.
- Track and ensure alignment of project budgets, schedules, and workflows across all personnel.
- Maintain subcontractor and vendor relationships, procurement, and project outlooks.
- Confirm accurate completion and processing of all project documentation.
- Collaborate with design, preconstruction, and compliance teams to ensure building completion and regulatory adherence.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as an Assistant Project Manager, Project Coordinator, Project Engineer, or similar role, with a focus on ground-up developments in New York.
- Experience managing large ground-up projects (valued at $50M+).
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field from an accredited university.
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, PlanGrid).
Pay
Base salary of $85,000 to $110,000, commensurate with experience.
