About the role

As an Assistant Project Manager - Construction - Manhattan, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting Project Managers with all phases of project delivery
  • SUPPORTING budget tracking, forecasting, and cost management
  • MANAGING RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
  • COCOORDINATING with subcontractors, vendors, architects, and engineers
  • ASSISTING with procurement and contract administration
  • MANTAINING project schedules and progress reports
  • PARTICIPATING in project meetings and PREPARING meeting minutes
  • MONITORING construction progress and IDENTIFYING potential issues
  • ASSISTING with quality control and safety initiatives
  • PREPARING reports, logs, and project correspondence
  • ASSISTING with project closeout and turnover activities
  • BUILDING strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders

Responsibilities

Supporting Project Managers with all phases of project delivery

SUPPORTING budget tracking, forecasting, and cost management

ASSISTING with procurement and contract administration

ASSISTING with quality control and safety initiatives

PREPARING reports, logs, and project correspondence

ASSISTING with project closeout and turnover activities

BUILDING strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
  • 2-5 years of construction experience, preferably in project coordination or assistant project management
  • Strong understanding of construction processes and documentation
  • Knowledge of RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project controls
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, and Microsoft Office
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Desire to grow into a full Project Manager role

Qualifications

  • Desired: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
  • Minimum: 2-5 years of construction experience, preferably in project coordination or assistant project management
  • Preferred: Experience working on commercial, residential, mixed-use, healthcare, or institutional projects
  • Desired: Strong understanding of construction processes and documentation
  • Desired: Knowledge of RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project controls
  • Desired: Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Desired: Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, and Microsoft Office
  • Desired: Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Desired: Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
