Construction Project Manager | NYC Self-Performing Developer (8+ Year Pipeline of work!)
Our client is one of the largest general contractors / self-performing developers in NYC, focusing on affordable and market-rate housing. They are based in the outer boroughs of Manhattan, and the sole focus of this role is to continue to build multifamily properties throughout the city.
About the role
The Construction Project Manager will oversee the full lifecycle of new, ground-up residential developments in New York City. Responsibilities include managing subcontractor coordination, running OAC meetings, reporting to upper management and key stakeholders, and handling scheduling, budgeting, documentation, and project workflows.
- Track and report on project costs, timelines, and schedules to ensure alignment across all personnel.
- Manage subcontractor and vendor relationships, procurement, and project outlooks.
- Confirm accurate completion and processing of project documentation.
- Collaborate with Superintendents, design and preconstruction teams, and key partners to ensure building compliance and completion.
Requirements
- 4+ years as a Project Manager leading ground-up developments in New York State, with additional relevant experience.
- Proven experience managing large, ground-up projects (upwards of $30M).
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline from an accredited university.
- Proficiency in major construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, PlanGrid).
Pay
Base salary of $165,000 to $200,000 (based on experience).
