About the role
The Conflicts Researcher plays a crucial role in ensuring that the firm's new business intake and lateral hiring processes are free from conflicts of interest. This position requires a strong understanding of legal rules and regulations regarding conflicts of interest.
Responsibilities
- Performs quality control reviews of client/matter intake, ensuring accuracy and adherence to policies and procedures.
- Conducts conflict of interest searches for clients, matters, and lateral hires, using the Firm’s conflicts and intake database.
- Reviews and analyzes conflict of interest reports, making adjustments as necessary to improve search terms and strategies.
- Compiles and synthesizes information from internal and external sources to gather and clarify details about parties or matters.
- Collaborates with the ICS team and Office of General Counsel to research, analyze, and resolve conflicts of interest.
- Participates in database maintenance, data entry, and special projects as requested.
- Continuously develops skills, processes, and knowledge related to conflicts of interest and legal industry trends.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in an administrative role, preferably in a legal environment.

- Ability to compile, review, filter, synthesize, and interpret information.
- Strong research skills using internal and external resources.
- Strong organizational skills, including the ability to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a hybrid and in-office setting.
Skills
- Knowledge of applicable rules regarding conflicts of interest.
- Ability to solve practical problems and provide courteous responses to inquiries.

Pay
$50,000.00 - $85,000.00 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
This position is full-time and works in a hybrid setting, combining remote and in-office work.
