About the role

The Conflicts Researcher plays a crucial role in ensuring that potential conflicts of interest are identified and managed efficiently. This position is integral to the firm's new business intake and lateral hiring processes.

Responsibilities

  • Performs quality control reviews of client/matter intake, ensuring accuracy and adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Conducts conflict of interest searches for clients, matters, and lateral hires, using the Firm’s conflicts and intake database.
  • Reviews and analyzes conflict of interest reports, making adjustments as necessary to refine search terms and strategies.
  • Carries out factual research using internal and external resources, collaborating with the ICS team and Office of General Counsel to resolve conflicts.
  • Participates in database maintenance, data entry, and special projects as requested by the Intake Manager.
  • Continuously develops skills, processes, and knowledge related to conflicts of interest and legal industry trends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in an administrative role, preferably in a legal environment.

  • Strong research skills using internal and external resources.
  • Excellent organizational skills, capable of producing high-quality work under pressure.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, able to interact with diverse groups of people.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Skills

  • Ability to compile, review, filter, synthesize, and interpret information.
  • Knowledge of applicable rules regarding conflicts of interest and trends in the legal industry.

The Firm complies with applicable city and state workplace mandates regarding Covid-19. This position offers competitive compensation based on experience, ranging from $50,000.00 to $85,000.00 annually.

Pay

$50,000.00 - $85,000.00 annually

Hybrid and in-office work arrangements are available.
