About the role

The Conflicts Researcher plays a crucial role in ensuring that potential conflicts of interest are identified and managed efficiently. This position is integral to the firm's new business intake and lateral hiring processes.

Responsibilities

  • Performs quality control reviews of client/matter intake, ensuring accuracy and adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Conducts conflict of interest searches for clients, matters, and lateral hires, using the Firm’s conflicts and intake database.
  • Reviews and analyzes conflict of interest reports, making adjustments to search terms and strategies as needed.
  • Compiles and synthesizes information from internal and external sources to gather and clarify details about parties or matters.
  • Collaborates with the ICS team and Office of General Counsel to research, analyze, and resolve conflicts of interest.
  • Participates in database maintenance, data entry, and special projects as requested by the Intake Manager.
  • Continuously develops skills, processes, and knowledge related to conflicts of interest rules and legal industry trends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in an administrative role, preferably in a legal environment.

Qualifications

  • Ability to compile, review, filter, synthesize, and interpret information.
  • Strong research skills using internal and external resources.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Self-management and adaptability to work in a hybrid and in-office setting.

Skills

  • Knowledge of applicable rules regarding conflicts of interest.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and communicate effectively.

The Firm complies with applicable workplace mandates regarding Covid-19. This position offers a competitive salary range of $50,000.00 - $85,000.00, depending on experience and qualifications.
