About the role
The Conflicts Researcher plays a crucial role in ensuring the integrity of the law firm's new business intake and lateral hiring processes by researching potential conflicts of interest. This position requires a strong understanding of legal rules and regulations regarding conflicts of interest.
Responsibilities
- Performs quality control reviews of client/matter intake, ensuring accuracy and adherence to policies and procedures.
- Conducts conflict of interest searches for clients, matters, and lateral hires, using the Firm’s conflicts and intake database.
- Reviews and analyzes conflict of interest reports, adjusting search terms and strategies as needed.
- Compiles and synthesizes information from internal and external sources to gather information and clarify matters.
- Collaborates with the ICS team and Office of General Counsel to research, analyze, and resolve conflicts of interest.
- Participates in database maintenance, data entry, and special projects as requested.
- Continuously develops skills, processes, and knowledge related to conflicts of interest and legal industry trends.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in an administrative role, preferably in a legal environment.
- Strong research and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Qualifications
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations concerning conflicts of interest.
- Proficiency in using Intapp, the Firm’s conflicts and intake database.
- Self-motivated and able to work in a hybrid or in-office setting.
Skills
- Strong research skills using internal and external resources.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to solve practical problems and provide courteous responses to inquiries.

The Firm complies with applicable city and state workplace mandates regarding Covid-19. It offers a competitive salary range of $50,000.00 - $85,000.00, depending on experience and qualifications.
