About the role

The Conflicts Researcher plays a crucial role in ensuring that the firm maintains ethical standards by identifying potential conflicts of interest. This position is integral to the firm's intake and lateral hiring processes.

Responsibilities

  • Performs quality control reviews of client/matter intake, ensuring accuracy and adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Conducts conflict of interest searches for clients, matters, and lateral hires, using the Firm’s conflicts and intake database.
  • Reviews and analyzes conflict of interest reports, adjusting search terms and strategies as needed.
  • Compiles and synthesizes information from internal and external sources to gather information and clarify matters.
  • Collaborates with the ICS team and Office of General Counsel to resolve conflicts of interest.
  • Performs database maintenance, data entry, and special projects as requested.
  • Continues to develop skills, improve processes, and stay updated on relevant legal industry trends and changes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in an administrative role, preferably in a legal environment.
  • Strong research skills and the ability to quickly learn new applications.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of applicable rules regarding conflicts of interest.
  • Understanding of the legal industry trends and changes.

The firm complies with applicable workplace mandates regarding Covid-19. The position offers a competitive salary range of $50,000.00 - $85,000.00, depending on experience and qualifications.
