Commercial Sr. HR Generalist

Job Overview: We are looking for a dynamic HR Generalist to join our North American Compression Systems & Services HR team located in Davidson, NC. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our HR Business Partner team to drive strategic HR initiatives and support hourly and salaried employees, as well as leadership teams. You will play a key role in shaping the employee experience, and will have the opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects. Responsibilities
- Employee Relations:
- Works closely with leadership, HR Business Partners, and employees to improve work relationships, build positive engagement, and increase productivity and retention
- Acts as employee advocate through effective employee relations
- Creates positive change through coaching, counseling, and influencing skills
- Maintains employee climate to identify issues/trends/opportunities, proposing solutions/changes, where needed
- Drives and enables cultural transformation to support an employee ownership mentality
- Counsels management and employees regarding policies and procedures
- Provides guidance and participation in performance improvement processes as well as employee issues, concerns, or complaints
- Recruitment:
- Manages onboarding process, including pre-employment testing, new hire paperwork, orientation, and HRIS entry
- HRIS:
- Maintains Success Factors Human Resources Information System employee database and files
- Communication/Training:
- Deploys HR plans, processes, programs, and policies aligned with business objectives, including organizational design, succession planning, talent management/acquisition, goal alignment/performance management, employee engagement and communications
- Partnership:
- Collaborates with local HR business partners to share best practices, critical needs issues, and local site and sector initiatives
- Benefits:
- Affords assistance with benefits issues, annual open enrollment process, wellness on-site annual screenings
- Safety:
- Ensures EHS compliance requirements are met, including submission of Worker’s Comp claims
- Affords assistance in identifying safety training needs and ensuring response programs are in place
- Other responsibilities as assigned or required
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3+ years of experience in Human Resources
- Self-motivated and reliable, with the ability to work independently to prioritize and pivot to meet the changing needs of the organization and collaborate effectively within HR and business teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field
- SHRM-CP or SCP is a plus
- SAP Success Factors experience preferred
- Sound judgment and problem solving ability with strong relationship building skills
- Expertise in employee relations
- Excellent communication skills
Qualifications
- This position will be based in Davidson, NC, Aurora, CO, or Los Angeles, CA
- Potential travel up to four times per year to offices across the US
Pay
The pay range for this role is $85,000 – $100,000. The pay range considers a wide range of factors that include a candidate's skills; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and geographic location.
