Command Center Flex Officer

Security Officer positions available at various posts with different pay rates: $18.50/hour for standard roles and $21.63/hour for Command Center Flex Officers. A valid driver's license and driver training are required for the Command Center role.

About the role

Security Officers are responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for clients by monitoring premises, conducting access control, and providing assistance to employees, visitors, and contractors. Command Center Flex Officers receive specialized training to address alarms, monitor security cameras, operate fire panels, answer phones, and direct Mobile Officers.

This role requires strong computer skills, excellent customer service, teamwork, and solid written communication for drafting incident reports, daily activity logs, and other documentation. Officers must remain alert, professional, and responsive while maintaining a visible security presence.

Responsibilities

• Observe and report activities and incidents at assigned client sites to ensure the security and safety of client property and personnel.
• Conduct proper sign-in procedures for access control.
• Monitor security cameras, address alarms, and operate fire panels (Command Center role).
• Provide customer service and information to employees, visitors, and contractors.
• Patrol a variety of locations and enforce client site regulations and directives.
• Draft incident reports, daily activity logs, and other documentation.
• Maintain a visible security presence and remain alert, professional, and responsive.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Must pass a drug screen and background check.
• Must meet and continue to meet all applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers.
• Frequent sitting, standing, and walking for long periods, which may include climbing stairs, walking on inclines, or uneven terrain.
• Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.
• Strong computer skills and solid written communication abilities.
• No prior experience necessary; retail, food service, or hospitality background is a plus.

Pay

• Standard Security Officer: $18.50/hour.
• Command Center Flex Officer: $21.63/hour.
• Weekly pay.
