Command Center Flex Officer

Pay rates vary by post: Security Officers start at $18.50/hour; Command Center Flex Officers earn $21.63/hour. A valid driver’s license and driver training are required.

About the role

Officers are trained in the Command Center, handling alarms, fire panels, camera monitoring, phone systems, and dispatching Mobile Officers. They conduct access-control sign-in procedures, maintain a visible security presence, and assist employees, visitors, and contractors. Strong computer skills, customer service, teamwork, and written communication are essential for incident reports, logs, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Observe and report activities and incidents at assigned client sites to ensure the security and safety of client property and personnel.
• Monitor premises through patrols, camera systems, and alarm responses.
• Enforce client-site regulations for personnel, visitors, and the area.
• Provide customer service and information to employees and visitors.
• Draft incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Pass a drug screen and background check.
• Meet and maintain all applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers.
• Frequent sitting, standing, and walking for long periods; may include climbing stairs, inclines, and uneven terrain.
• Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds; occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.

Qualifications

• No prior security experience necessary.
• Retail, food service, or hospitality background is ideal; training provided for those new to the security industry.
• Strong computer skills and written communication ability.
