Starting pay: $18.00 per hour plus additional shift differential for evenings, nights, and weekends.

Requirements
- Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no additional job gaps in employment greater than 6 months in the past 36 months (employment gap extended to 18 months if laid off or providing child/elder care)
- Previous work history does not apply to applicants who have been full-time students consecutively for the last 36 months
- Must be available for an in-person interview
- Rehire criteria: minimum waiting period of 180 days and no more than 3 prior employments at Cobb/Tyson Foods
- Must reside in the United States
- Good communication skills to accurately convey opinions and concerns
Schedule
Responsibilities may occasionally require an adjusted work schedule. Monday through Friday, including holidays, beginning at 6:00 AM (but may be as early as midnight as needed) until the job is complete. Typically averages 40 hours per week.
About the role
This position is responsible for vaccination and movement of all Cobb products serviced by the Cobb Grandparent operation.
Responsibilities
- Vaccinate GP chickens (50%)
- Move pullets (40%)
- Move spike males (5%)
- Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice, such as:
- Operating a high-pressure and regular water hose
- Maintaining foot pans and hand sanitizers
- Cleaning and disinfecting Cobb vehicles
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area
Biosecurity / Animal Welfare / Safety Requirements
- The jobsite is a biosecure environment requiring showering, changing clothing, and footwear before entering the facility (appropriate clothing and footwear provided by the Company)
- No jewelry may be worn on the jobsite except for medical ID jewelry
- Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species (chickens, ducks, birds, etc.)
- Must be willing to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity and Animal Welfare Guidelines
- Will be trained to recognize and comply with all safety procedures
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Must use safe lifting techniques
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and may be required to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds at times
- Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, talk, or hear
- Must be able to drive a vehicle to and from job sites
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Personal Protective Equipment Required:
- Safety goggles
- Face shield
- Chemical gloves
- Waterproof apron
- Rubber boots (when handling chemicals)
- Ear plugs and earmuffs (as needed)
- Chemicals Commonly Used: Phenolic-based disinfectants
- Environment: Required to work on wet, slippery surfaces and in hot, dry, dusty, wet, and cold environments
