Pay
Starting pay: $18.00 per hour plus additional shift differential for evenings, nights, and weekends.

Requirements
- Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no additional job gaps in employment greater than 6 months in the past 36 months (employment gap extended to 18 months for applicants laid off or providing child/elder care)
- Previous work history does not apply to applicants who have been full-time students consecutively for the last 36 months
- Rehire criteria: minimum waiting period of 180 days; no more than 3 prior employments at Cobb/Tyson Foods
- Must reside in the United States to be considered for an interview
- Applicants with previous agricultural or production experience preferred
- Must have good communication skills to accurately convey opinions and concerns
- Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species (chickens, ducks, birds, etc.)
- Must be willing to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity and Animal Welfare Guidelines
Responsibilities
- Pressure washing (70%)
- Disinfecting houses (10%)
- Installing shavings (10%)
- Vaccinate GP chickens and move spike males (5%)
- Other duties as assigned, including:
- Operate a high-pressure and regular water hose
- Maintain foot pans and hand sanitizers
- Clean and disinfect Cobb vehicles
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Maintain Cobb equipment
Biosecurity / Animal Welfare / Safety Requirements
- Jobsite is a biosecure environment requiring showering and changing clothing/footwear before entering (provided by the company)
- No jewelry may be worn except for medical ID jewelry
- Must comply with all safety procedures
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Must use safe lifting techniques
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds; may be required to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds at times
- Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle objects/tools, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, talk, or hear
- Drive a vehicle to and from job sites
- Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Personal protective equipment required:
- Safety goggles, face shield, chemical gloves, waterproof apron, and rubber boots when handling chemicals
- Ear plugs and ear muffs as needed
- Chemicals commonly used: phenolic-based disinfectants
- Work environment includes wet, slippery surfaces and exposure to hot, dry, dusty, wet, and cold conditions
- Must be willing and able to perform physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodation
Schedule
Monday through Friday, including holidays, beginning at 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM until job is complete. Typically averages 40 hours per week. Hours are subject to change depending on the needs of the facility and time of year. Responsibilities may occasionally require an adjusted work schedule.
