What We're Looking For: Role Objective: As a Coach/Practitioner, your primary objective is to empower individuals to establish achievable, measurable goals while monitoring progress and fostering sustainable behavioral change. You will deliver platform-based behavioral health care and wellness coaching support to youth and young adults (ages 13-25). How You'll Make an Impact: Providing Structured Wellness Coaching: Deliver prevention, wellness promotion and psychoeducation through structured coaching sessionsAssist with warm handoffs to Care Coordinators & support case managementOffer Behavioral Health/ Wellness Coaching interventionsDevelop individualized care plans to effectively goal set and action plan for positive behavioral changeConduct risk assessment and mitigationAddress determinants of positive mental healthSupport users in identifying problem areas, obstacles, and actionable steps towards wellness goals Providing Single Session Wellness Coaching: Deliver drop-in and single-chat wellness coachingProvide warm handoffs to Care Coordination Team and support with case managementFacilitate goal-setting based on immediate individual needsConduct risk assessment and mitigationDeliver brief prevention, wellness promotion, and psychoeducationOffer brief Behavioral Health/Wellness Coaching interventions*This position is subject to a successful [enhanced] DBS check as part of recruitment procedures Screening and Assessment: Conduct mental health & wellness screenings and progress monitoringIdentify users experiencing or at risk of social, emotional, or behavioral difficulties. Perform risk assessment and mitigation. Support users experiencing crisis and facilitate referrals as needed Moderation of Submitted Content: Moderate journals, goals, and user-submitted content in line with policy and compliance standards. Conduct risk assessment through written contentEncourage safe engagement relevant to presenting issuesAdhere to all safeguarding, data protection, legal, and internal policy requirements Warm Handoffs: Communicate with users and external providers as appropriate to ensure seamless care transitions. Supervision, Training, and Meetings: Attend and actively participate in clinical supervisionComplete all mandatory in-house training and professional development. Attend team and performance management meetings Administration: Maintain accurate and timely records according to Kooth policiesSupport operational processes to ensure consistent service deliveryLiaise with other professionals as needed around safeguarding and care concernsMaintain certification or licensure (as applicable) Requirements What You'll Bring: Pathway A: Peer Support Specialist Holds a current, valid Peer Support Specialist certification in the state of California or NationallyMinimum education: GED/High School diplomaCompetency or experience in peer support, strengths-based engagement, and providing emotional/behavioral supportPermanently reside within the 48 contiguous United StatesPreferred: experience with crisis support services or related volunteer work Pathway B: Mental Health Support Practitioner Education or relevant experience that supports behavioral health/wellness coaching competenciesDemonstrates ability to deliver structured and single-session coachingPermanently reside within the 48 contiguous United StatesExperience in youth mental health, care coordination, or digital behavioral health environments preferred Pathway C: Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Counselor Holds a current, valid SUD Counselor certification in the state of CaliforniaMinimum education: GED/High School diplomaDemonstrated experience supporting individuals with substance use-related behavioral changePermanently reside within the 48 contiguous United StatesPreferred: crisis support experienceBilingual in Spanish highly preferred Benefits What You'll Get: Compensation: Starting pay for this role is $26 to $27 per hour. Final compensation will be based on a variety of factors, including your education, experience, skills, and overall alignment with the role.
