Co-Worker Health RN or LPN - PRN, Mercy Hospital OKC

Flexible PRN position with scheduling limited to Monday–Friday; no evenings or weekends.

About the role

The Co-worker Health Nurse works closely with all co-workers from day one, planning, organizing, directing, and performing all activities of co-worker health services in concert with federal and state requirements and regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-employment health assessments, including drug testing, medical history, lab work, chest x-ray (if indicated), and immunization status.
• Support and administer the co-worker TB skin screening program in compliance with state regulations.
• Perform respirator fit testing and training as indicated.
• Promote and administer annual Influenza and other vaccines to all co-workers.
• Provide first aid to employees and follow up on work-related injuries to ensure quality care.
• May serve as Workers’ Compensation coordinator, following state commission rules and regulations.

Requirements

• 2 years of hospital or clinical experience.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (LPN or RN).
• Active Oklahoma nursing license (LPN or RN).
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred; will be provided by Mercy if not already certified.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
