CNC Machinist Apprentice

About the role

Dynomax, Inc is a family-owned company specializing in the design, manufacturing, and development of high-precision machined components, sub-assemblies, and electrical components for the aerospace and defense industries. We are currently seeking a Registered Apprentice with an interest in becoming a CNC Machinist.

Responsibilities

• Participate in targeted coursework at Harper Community College in Palatine, Illinois
• Engage in relevant work rotations at Dynomax, Inc in Wheeling, Illinois
• Work in a paid, benefit-eligible full-time position at Dynomax, Inc
• Earn a tuition-free Associate in Applied Science degree in Manufacturing Technology
• Receive national credentials and a National RA Certificate upon successful completion

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• US Person, defined as US Citizen or Permanent US Resident
• Ability to communicate effectively and understand verbal and written directions in the English language
• Professional work experience not required
• Must be validated as college ready by Harper Community College Admissions

• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Interest in math and science
• Interest in becoming a CNC Machinist
