CNC Apprentice
About the role
You'll earn credentials through the National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS) while gaining on-the-job experience and getting paid. Our manufacturing team is proud of their contributions, making high-tech products for key industries like aerospace and defense.
Responsibilities
- Earn the equivalent of the college diploma completing 6 industry-standard certifications.
- Train with skilled machinists.
- Operate and monitor various types of CNC Machines to deliver high-quality, on-time parts.
- Operate and make machine adjustments to achieve required tolerances.
- Accurately inspect finished parts using a variety of technical equipment.
- Complete quality inspections and adhere to a detailed work schedule.
- Maintain a neat and clean work environment and perform routine maintenance.
- Communicate thoughtfully with customers and co-workers to maintain a positive work atmosphere.
- Follow and continuously monitor safety procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous manufacturing experience or specialized training preferred but not required.
- Willingness to learn in the classroom and on the job.
- Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
