Machinist Apprentice

Responsibilities

• Train under supervision of an Industrial Machinist
• Utilize grinders, mills, lathes, belt sanders, bench grinders, EDM engravers, compactors and saws in daily duties
• Use various hand tools including grinding vises, tap wrenches, micrometers, scales, bore gauges, edge finders, thermal gauges, radius gauges, calipers, inside mics, magnetic base & indicators, and optical comparators

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Ability to climb and work in high or confined spaces
• Enthusiastic and professional team player with a sense of urgency
• Ability to work a 24/7 work schedule that includes a swing shift
• Desire and ability to work overtime that is paid out in excess of 8 hours each day
• Knowledge of the operation or use of related specialized tools and equipment
• Prior mechanical experience

Pay

$23.143/hour, increasing by 5% every 1000 hours up to $36.644 after 4 years.

Schedule

24/7 work schedule that includes a swing shift.
