CNA - Weekend Morning Shift

About the role

We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for home care services, primarily on weekends from 08:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in clients' residences, including personal hygiene, bathing, grooming, and daily living activities.
• Assist with transfers, repositioning, and ambulation to ensure safety and comfort.
• Administer basic nursing care and prescribed exercises under supervision from healthcare professionals.
• Prepare meals considering clients' dietary needs and preferences.
• Offer companionship and engage clients in activities suited to their interests.
• Perform light housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Accurately document care activities and report any changes in clients' physical or psychosocial conditions.
• Follow the care plan strictly, avoiding medication administration.
• Maintain confidentiality, privacy, and uphold patients' rights at all times.
• Use necessary equipment such as blood pressure cuffs and stethoscopes for assessments.
• Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and families, demonstrating dependability and adaptability.

Qualifications

• Current certification with the DFS.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Effective communication skills, including reading, writing, and following instructions.
• Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting and standing.
• Compassionate attitude toward patient care.

This role involves travel within a designated area, handling diverse patient needs, and working independently within the scope of the care plan. The position requires a dependable, empathetic individual committed to providing quality home care.
