CLN Scheduler - Heart Center Scheduling - FT - 1st Shift

About the role

Facilitates communication between patients, staff and physicians. Schedules hospital outpatient procedures and admissions in a timely and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

• Sit for long periods of time, stoop, bend and stretch for files and supplies
• Occasionally lift files or paper weighing up to 50 pounds
• Operate a keyboard, calculator, telephone, copier and other office equipment
• View terminal for long periods of time without eyestrain or stress
• Work in an environment which can be very stressful

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Prefer one year work experience in a medical office setting
• Knowledge of medical terminology desirable

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical business office procedures and practices
• Knowledge of grammar, spelling and punctuation to type patient information
• Ability to speak clearly and concisely
• Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instructions
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, supervisors, physicians and the public
• Effective work habits including, but not limited to, regular attendance, teamwork, initiative, dependability, and promptness

Skills

• Knowledge of medical business office procedures and practices
• Knowledge of grammar, spelling and punctuation to type patient information
