Clinical Social Worker, Part-Time

About the role

Part-time (20 hours per week) clinical social worker position in a specialized Thyroid Center dedicated to pediatric thyroid conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide multidisciplinary care, including evaluation, diagnostic procedures, treatment support, and follow-up for children with thyroid nodules and cancer.
• Conduct psychosocial assessments, offer individual and family coping support, crisis intervention, and resource navigation via in-person and telehealth modalities.
• Collaborate with the medical team to address psychosocial issues such as adjustment to diagnoses, treatment challenges, family distress, trauma, and safety concerns.
• Assist patients and families in accessing internal and external services and develop programs to support them.
• Partner with the Endocrine Mental Health Team for coverage needs.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in social work.
• Experience in medical settings and child protection preferred.
• Licensed or licensed-eligible (LICSW preferred) in Massachusetts.
