Clinical Social Worker - Part Time

About the Role

This part-time social work role involves providing clinical social work services within a specialized Thyroid Center dedicated to children with thyroid conditions. The position offers opportunities for professional growth in a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver multidisciplinary care to children and adolescents with thyroid nodules and cancer, including evaluations, diagnostic procedures, surgical support, follow-up, and psychosocial assistance.
• Conduct psychosocial assessments, offer individual and family coping support, crisis intervention, and resource navigation through in-person and telehealth methods.
• Collaborate with the thyroid team to address psychosocial issues such as coping, treatment adherence, family distress, trauma, and child protection concerns.
• Assist patients and families in accessing internal and external services and resources.
• Develop initiatives to support patient and family needs within the Thyroid Center.
• Coordinate with the Endocrine Mental Health Team for coverage needs.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in social work.
• Experience in medical settings and with child protection issues preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Licensure: LCSW license required; LICSW preferred.
