Clinical Social Worker, MSW - Complex Care/PACU (Part-Time)

About the role

We are seeking an inpatient social worker for the Complex Surgery Program and PACU to provide clinical social work services to children, adolescents, and families. The role involves conducting psychosocial screenings, assessments, counseling, and crisis intervention. You will offer resource information, referrals, and facilitate hospital and community resource use, as well as provide psychosocial consultation to the multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychosocial screenings and assessments for pediatric patients and families
• Provide counseling and crisis intervention
• Offer resource information and referrals to hospital and community services
• Facilitate the use of hospital and community resources
• Provide psychosocial consultation to the multidisciplinary healthcare team

Requirements

• Master’s degree in social work (required)
• Flexibility, strong communication, and consultation skills
• Medical social work experience (preferred)
• Experience in child protection or bereavement counseling (preferred)

Qualifications

• LCSW or LICSW licensure in Massachusetts (preferred)
