Clinical Social Worker, MSW Complex Care/PACU 32 hours

About the Role

We are seeking an inpatient social worker for the Complex Surgery Program and our PACU to provide a range of clinical social work services to children, adolescents, and families. This position is based primarily on an inpatient medical unit with a strong multidisciplinary team caring for patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Psychosocial screening and assessments, counseling, and crisis intervention
• Resource information and referral, facilitation of use of hospital and community resources
• Psychosocial consultation to the multidisciplinary health care team

Requirements

• Master’s degree in social work
• State of MA LCSW (State of MA LICSW preferred)
• Flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced multidisciplinary team environment
• Excellent communication and consultation skills
• Previous medical social work experience preferred
• Experience with child protection and bereavement counseling helpful

Schedule

This position is 32 hours per week and 100% onsite.

Pay

The posted pay range is Boston Children’s reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting. Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors. A $4,000 sign-on bonus is available for new hires.
