Clinical Pharmacist SCH

Full-time, exempt position within the ACE Associates bargaining unit. Primary work location at St. Joseph Hospital; occasional travel to other locations may be required.

Schedule

• Days and evenings with weekend rotation
• Primarily first shift Monday–Friday; hours vary: 6:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m., 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m., 7:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m., 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m., 6:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
• Some evening and weekend coverage may be required.

About the role

In conjunction with the Director of Pharmacy, Pharmacy Manager, and Lead Pharmacist, ensures compliance with the rules and regulations that govern the practice of Pharmacy within the hospital and all extension services.

Responsibilities

• Program and service development
• Quality assurance
• Medication use indicator experience
• Cost containment programs
• Supervision of pharmacy operations and staff

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited college of Pharmacy
• Current New York State pharmacist license and registration certificate
• Pharmacist Doctorate (PharmD) preferred
• Two to six weeks of orientation, depending on prior experience

• Proficiency operating: personal computer, laminar flow hood, biological hood, compounding devices, telephone, fax machine, hospital computer systems, copy machine, prescription balance, automated medication dispensing machines
