Clinical Pharmacist
About the role
The Clinical Pharmacist at St. Rose Dominican San Martin will support the doctors and nurses in safely prescribing and dispensing medications to help patients recover from illness or injury. Key responsibilities include reviewing prescriptions for potential drug interactions, ensuring correct dosing, checking for patient allergies, and communicating drug information to patients and other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Review prescriptions for potential drug interactions, correct dosing, patient allergies, and anything unusual.
- Interpret medication orders and verify the order or prescription into the computer system, labeling, and dispensing medications in a timely manner.
- Communicate drug information to patients and health professionals, resolving drug-related problems by consulting with other health care professionals.
- Demonstrate ability to document clinical activities and interventions such as consults, patient teachings, and other patient-specific information as defined by policy and procedure.
- Maintain an adequate basic knowledge base to provide clinical services for all age groups served.
- Maintain a working knowledge of automated systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy
- Pharmacist license in Nevada
- BLS certification from American Heart Association
Preferred
- American Heart Association ACLS certification
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy
- Pharmacist license in Nevada
- BLS certification from American Heart Association

Pay
The posted compensation range is $54.76 - $81.45 per hour, reflecting the lowest to highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
Schedule
Part-time (PRN), 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 11:00 AM - 9:30 PM, with varied evening shifts.
