About the Role
Oversee an acute care unit in an intermediate care/stepdown department, leading daily nursing operations and ensuring high-quality patient care and safety.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily nursing operations and supervise clinical staff
- Ensure compliance with regulations and quality standards
- Manage staffing, scheduling, and resource utilization
- Coach, train, and evaluate the nursing team
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
- Drive quality improvement initiatives
- Serve as the unit leader in the absence of senior management
- Provide direct patient care within RN scope of practice as necessary
Requirements
- Valid RN license
- BSN preferred
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years clinical nursing experience
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Additional certifications such as CCRN or NRP are advantageous
