About the role

The Clinical Nursing Supervisor (RN) provides leadership and operational oversight for an acute care unit, ensuring safe, high-quality, patient-centered care. They supervise daily nursing operations, manage staffing, scheduling, and resource utilization, and ensure regulatory compliance and quality improvement. The role involves coaching and mentoring staff, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and serving as the unit leader in the absence of senior management. They also provide direct patient care within the RN scope when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and operational oversight for an acute care unit
• Supervise daily nursing operations, including staffing and scheduling
• Manage resource utilization and ensure regulatory compliance
• Drive quality improvement initiatives
• Coach and mentor nursing staff
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Serve as unit leader in the absence of senior management
• Provide direct patient care within the RN scope as needed

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (preferred)
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience
• Supervisory experience preferred
• Additional certifications such as CCRN or NRP are desirable

Pay

Compensation ranges from $36.75 to $55.70 per hour.
