Role Overview
Provides direct patient care on a 16‑bed Medical, Med Surg/Ortho unit, focusing on assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing care standards. Promotes patient‑ and family‑centered care, educates on illness management, medication, and post‑treatment needs, and participates in activities to enhance patient safety, quality, and compliance. Develops and documents individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, ensuring effective communication across the care continuum. Utilizes critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient values, cultural, spiritual, and population‑specific considerations. This safety‑sensitive position requires alertness and safe work practices.
Qualifications & Skills
- Nursing diploma or associate’s degree required
- RN licensure essential
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in nursing
- Preferred: at least two years of nursing experience
- No supervisory experience needed
- Strong communication, collaboration, and critical‑thinking skills
