About the role

The Registered Nurse Coordinator PACU plays a vital leadership role in managing patient care and team coordination within the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit.

Responsibilities

• Providing leadership, overseeing daily operations, ensuring resource availability, and facilitating effective teamwork among surgical, anesthesia, and support staff
• Participating in staff hiring, evaluation, and development
• Promoting quality improvement initiatives
• Managing patient care plans based on acuity and census data
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, ensuring smooth patient transitions and resource management
• Maintaining compliance with policies and standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
• At least 2 years of acute care experience
• 1 year of leadership preferred

Skills

• Strong communication, organizational, decision-making, and leadership abilities
• Proficiency in specialty practice
• Computer skills

Certifications

• RN license (Illinois)
• CPR certification
• CNOR preferred
