About the Role

The Registered Nurse Coordinator PACU leads and manages patient care delivery in the post-anesthesia care unit, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care through leadership, collaboration, and resource management.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and oversee staff scheduling in the PACU.
  • Ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with surgical teams and interdisciplinary staff to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Manage resource allocation, supplies, and equipment.
  • Participate in staff hiring, performance evaluations, and professional development.
  • Assess patient acuity and adjust staffing levels accordingly.
  • Conduct product evaluations and serve as a clinical consultant.
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Nursing degree (Bachelor’s preferred).
  • Active RN licensure in Illinois.
  • Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of leadership experience (CNOR preferred).
