About the Role
The Registered Nurse Coordinator PACU leads and manages patient care delivery in the post-anesthesia care unit, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care through leadership, collaboration, and resource management.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and oversee staff scheduling in the PACU.
- Ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with surgical teams and interdisciplinary staff to optimize patient outcomes.
- Manage resource allocation, supplies, and equipment.
- Participate in staff hiring, performance evaluations, and professional development.
- Assess patient acuity and adjust staffing levels accordingly.
- Conduct product evaluations and serve as a clinical consultant.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Nursing degree (Bachelor’s preferred).
- Active RN licensure in Illinois.
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience.
- Minimum of 1 year of leadership experience (CNOR preferred).
