Clinical Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology (Clinician Educator) CHLA

About the role

The Keck School of Medicine (KSOM) of the University of Southern California (USC) and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) in the Department of Anesthesiology, in the Division of Anesthesiology, are actively seeking a full-time faculty member for the position of Clinical Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology (Clinician Educator), Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiologist.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care in a well-established national program caring for over 800 bypass cases, 200 other cardiac surgeries, 800 cardiac catheterizations and MRIs and consultations for children with congenital heart disease undergoing non-cardiac procedures.
• Work within the Heart Institute which includes cardiology, CT surgery, critical care and anesthesiology.
• Train 150 residents from many Southern California anesthesia programs and has a pediatric anesthesiology fellowship, a pediatric cardiac anesthesia fellowship, pain fellowship, palliative fellowship and a critical care medicine fellowship.
• Academic and research interest is also sought.

Requirements

• Completed pediatric anesthesiology fellowship.
• Additional training and/or experience in pediatric cardiac anesthesiology.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree.
• Board certification in Anesthesiology.
• Current California Medical License.

Pay

The annual base salary range for this position is $475,000-$496,000.

Schedule

The schedule is full-time 8 hours day.
