Clinical Associate Professor of Anesthesiology (Clinician Educator) CHLA

About the role

The Keck School of Medicine (KSOM) of the University of Southern California (USC) and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) in the Department of Anesthesiology Critical Care Medicine are actively seeking a full-time faculty member for the position of Attending in Pediatric Anesthesiology at the rank of Clinical Associate Professor of Anesthesiology (Clinician Educator).

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care for patients undergoing anesthesia in a high acuity pediatric setting.
• Teach medical students, residents, and fellows in the Department of Anesthesiology Critical Care Medicine.
• Participate in research related to abdominal organ transplantation and/or pediatric pain medicine.
• Contribute to the educational mission of the Department of Anesthesiology Critical Care Medicine.

Requirements

• Successfully completed an ACGME-accredited fellowship in Pediatric Anesthesiology.
• Board-certified (or eligible to become board-certified within one year of hire) in Pediatric Anesthesiology.

Qualifications

• Experience in high acuity pediatric anesthesia care.
• Interest in abdominal organ transplantation and/or pediatric pain medicine.

Skills

• Excellent clinical skills.
• Strong teaching abilities.
• Research aptitude.

Children's Hospital Los Angeles is a premier teaching hospital and has been affiliated with the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California since 1932. The annual base salary range for this position is $480,000-$501,000.
