About the role

The Keck School of Medicine (KSOM) of the University of Southern California (USC) and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) in the Department of Pediatrics in the Division of Hospital Medicine, are actively seeking a full time faculty member for the position of Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics (Clinician Educator).

Responsibilities

- Supervise trainees on the inpatient service - Primary care for patients on the attending only service - Intake management and team assignment for internal and external requests for admission to the hospital - Participate in Quality Improvement, Education, and Throughput initiatives

Requirements

- BC/BE pediatrics - Major interest in providing inpatient care to a diverse and complex patient population - Excellent communication skills - Enjoy teaching learners at various levels

Qualifications

- MD degree - Eligibility for medical licensure in the State of California

- Strong clinical skills - Effective teaching abilities - Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
