The position of Client Relationship Manager, ED is based in the United States and is managed by a partner company. This role involves becoming a trusted advisor to healthcare clients, focusing on optimizing Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) performance and achieving long-term operational success.
About the role
- Serve as the primary relationship manager for assigned healthcare clients, building trusted partnerships and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
- Analyze Revenue Cycle Management performance metrics and reimbursement data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for operational improvement.
- Lead client meetings to review performance, discuss business objectives, and provide strategic recommendations based on industry best practices.
- Educate clients on revenue cycle solutions, available services, and operational capabilities that support improved financial performance.
- Coordinate with internal teams to resolve client issues, manage special projects, and ensure timely communication on ongoing initiatives.
- Monitor healthcare industry regulations and reimbursement trends, advising clients on changes related to topics such as MIPS, MACRA, and revenue cycle operations.
- Identify opportunities for account growth and collaborate with business development teams by referring potential expansion opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in client relationship management or client services within medical billing or Revenue Cycle Management, preferably supporting Emergency Department practices.
- Working knowledge of CPT coding, ICD coding, MIPS, MACRA, and healthcare reimbursement processes.
- Strong ability to interpret RCM metrics, reimbursement data, and operational reports while presenting insights clearly to clients.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage physicians and healthcare stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities with a collaborative, customer-focused mindset.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while effectively partnering with cross-functional teams.
