Description of Work
- Scanning and Imaging: Scan documents, modify electronic image sets, and keep scanning equipment clean.
- Data Entry: Enter information into automated systems such as CIS and Mapper.
- Inquiry Tasks: Access automated systems to obtain needed information.
- Filing Work: File documents and purge case records according to the retention schedule.
- Reception Duties: Greet visitors, collect accurate information, and refer individuals appropriately.
- Sorting and Distribution: Review and sort mail, logs, and printouts and send items to the correct recipients.
Work Schedule and Additional Information
- Seasonal full-time employment.
- This position typically runs for 6-8 months during the fall and winter seasons.
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: This position may be eligible to telework part-time. Specific details of the telework schedule will be discussed during the interview process.
- The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
Pay
- Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting hourly rate of $18.83 (before taxes).
Qualifications
- Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Graduation from high school; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Other Requirements: You must meet the PA residency requirement.
