About the role

As part of our team, you will work to administer and organize a mission-critical program while working directly with external sponsors and Sandia management. The Cyber Systems and Intelligence (5989) group focuses on advanced technologies and cyber security, designing and evaluating solutions for the U.S. Government's Strategic Partnership and Strategic Intelligence Partnership Programs.

We seek a skilled and adaptable General Business Management Administrative Support professional to facilitate program coordination, sponsor events, and assist with project scheduling. This role involves direct engagement with projects in Center 5600, where departments collaborate closely with other Sandia organizations to advance a variety of national security initiatives. You will interact with staff and management at various levels and collaborate with team members to enhance processes and creatively solve problems.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate project-related on-boarding programs.
  • Support communication initiatives by assisting with Confluence management, managing entity account communications and metagroups, etc.
  • Plan and coordinate project-related events, ensuring alignment with programmatic goals.
  • Provide support to multiple projects and programs in conjunction with the business team.
  • Help organize program-specific training sessions and workshops, including logistics.
  • Independently, or with guidance, manage multiple priorities and projects, and produce quality results that meet tight deadlines.
  • Collaborate/coordinate with other administrative and technical staff from internal and external organizations on various tasks.
  • Design processes to enhance workflow.
  • Manage sponsor network data transfers.
  • Track and manage sponsor-owned equipment.

Due to the nature of the work, the selected applicant must be able to work onsite.

Requirements

  • High school diploma plus three (3) years of directly related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to work and thrive in a team environment and interact with internal and external senior-level leaders.
  • Excellent attention to detail and an ability to work at a very focused and tactical level as well as a broader, more strategic level.
  • Ability to work independently, or with some guidance, organize, prioritize, and follow-through to completion on multiple tasks, often under strict deadlines, frequent interruptions, and competing priorities.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, as well as other Microsoft Office Products.
  • Active DOE Q-level and SCI security clearance (or equivalent DOD Top Secret/SCI).
  • Able and willing to obtain a DOW SCI.

Qualifications We Desire

  • Experience managing Confluence pages or other related software tools.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, to include light editing and document formatting.
  • Ability to self-start, work independently, take initiative and ownership of tasks, and exercise mature appropriate judgment with only limited or occasional direction.
  • Experience working with external sponsors at the executive level.
  • Experience planning and coordinating high-level sponsor events with more than 30 participants.
  • Experience with Enterprise Person.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills.
  • Experience working on SPP and SIPP projects.

Pay

Salary range: $48,500 - $89,000. Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.

About Our Team

The Cyber Systems Intelligence department conducts long-term mission-focused research addressing national-scale challenges in cybersecurity, data science, and computer systems. Staff in 5689 address and lead projects tackling key challenges in data science, system understanding, analysis, and cyber experimentation in support of our sponsors.
