About the role

Airbus Helicopters is seeking a Project Manager - Civil Programs to join our Civil Programs Team based in Columbus, MS. The role involves managing aircraft completion, maintenance, and repair activities according to Airbus Helicopters Civil Program Management Procedure. Key responsibilities include coordinating project teams, developing schedules and budgets, tracking changes, and managing contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with various team members to ensure project completion on schedule, budget, and quality.
  • Guide customers through aircraft acquisition and completion processes, focusing on customer experience and satisfaction.
  • Develop and track project timelines in MS Project, adjusting them based on changing project requirements.
  • Manage project budgets, adjust them based on change orders, and track cost performance indicators (CPI).
  • Support sales and offers teams with technical advice and contract management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Program Management field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3 years of experience in aerospace project management, including aircraft completions, maintenance, and repair.
  • Knowledgeable in FAA regulations and financial experience for budgeting.
  • Technical experience to comprehend technical data packages.
  • Understanding of the aerospace industry, basic aircraft design, mission equipment packages, and design and certification processes.
  • Ability to break complex issues into manageable work packages and strong crisis management skills.
  • Effective communication skills in verbal and written forms in English.
  • Strong skills in MS Project, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Outlook, and Google search.
  • Basic MS Access skills.

Qualifications

  • Must be a US Person under ITAR definition (U.S. Citizen, green card holder, or person covered under our existing ITAR license).
  • Experience with domestic and international travel.
  • Physical requirements include vision, hearing, speaking, and manual dexterity.

Skills
