Chef/ Director needed for School Food Service

Job Summary

The Chef/Director position is available for a school food service program in the Delray Beach, FL area. This is a part-time, Monday through Friday, 6-hour daily position.

Responsibilities

• Fun and outgoing personality, enjoying working with children, staff, and faculty
• Strong attention to detail and creativity with menu ideas within NSLP guidelines
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Able to prepare catering events for school
• Occasional travel may be required
• Excellent time and people management skills
• Proficient in using Google, Microsoft products, and point of sale systems
• Ensure compliance with safety and food handling procedures
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Client-facing role requiring personable and comfortable interaction with clients

Requirements

• Proper documentation to work in schools
• Culinary experience required
• Prior food service management experience preferred

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license
• Pass criminal background check
• ServSafe® Manager Certificate
