Chef/ Manager Needed for School Food Service

Full-time position in the Reading, Pa area. Day shift, 8 hours daily, Monday through Friday. No weekends or holidays. Occasional nights may be required for school board catering events.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the function of the kitchen area
• Create menu ideas while adhering to all NSLP guidelines
• Prepare for catering events
• Ensure all safety and cleanliness guidelines are practiced at all times
• Ensure personal protection equipment is used at all times
• Manage food ordering and inventory
• Handle staffing needs

Requirements

• K-12 school food service experience is a plus
• Familiarity with high-volume catering
• Ability to obtain proper documentation to work in schools
• Proven cooking experience
• ServSafe® Certificate is preferred
• Proficiency in various computer software (Google Docs, Microsoft, etc.)
