About the role

The Chef de Cuisine at Ghost Tree Grill is responsible for overseeing the culinary operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and managing the kitchen staff.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of the kitchen, including menu development, food preparation, and service quality.
  • Manage and train kitchen staff to ensure efficient and consistent food production.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop new dishes and maintain the restaurant’s signature menu.
  • Ensure adherence to food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Work closely with the front-of-house team to enhance the dining experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional chef experience, preferably in a high-end restaurant setting.
  • Proven track record of success in managing a kitchen team.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate and mentor staff.
  • Experience with menu development and cost control.
  • Knowledge of local and seasonal ingredients.

Qualifications

  • Valid food handler’s license.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in French and English.

Pay

$X per hour, depending on experience.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 6 AM to 2 PM, with occasional weekend shifts.
