Role Overview

The Charge RN provides clinical leadership and patient-centered care within a healthcare unit, coordinating daily operations to ensure safe, high-quality, and efficient care for a diverse patient population.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support nursing staff during each shift, delegate assignments based on patient acuity and staff skills.
• Oversee patient flow, bed assignments, and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes.
• Participate in patient assessments, care planning, medication administration, and response evaluation.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, promote safety, and support infection prevention initiatives.
• Drive performance improvement, support onboarding, mentoring, and professional development of staff.
• Coordinate with healthcare team members, resolve issues, and communicate effectively with patients and families.
• Contribute to unit meetings, problem-solving, and escalate concerns as needed.
