Job Summary

You'll oversee a department of frontline nurses caring for patients in Surprise, AZ. Your experience in acute care enhances our nursing team. You advocate for your nurses, supporting them in achieving their goals.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for nurses and support their professional development
• Evaluate care provided by staff members
• Coach staff to improve patient care
• Maintain department standards
• Mentor staff in areas like competency, documentation, equipment use, plan of care, NPSG, and inservice education
• Provide direct patient care as needed
• Coordinate ethics consultations

Requirements

• Associate of Nursing (ADN), Diploma, or foreign equivalent
• Two (2) years RN experience in an applicable clinical specialty
• Registered Nurse license from AZ or compact state
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support - CPR and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certifications
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification preferred
• Bachelor’s of Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Previous Charge Nurse experience preferred
• Previous experience with personal computers
