Job Summary and Responsibilities

You'll oversee a department of frontline nurses caring for patients. Your previous experience in acute care adds tremendous value to our nursing team. Every day you will advocate for your fellow nurses as you support them in reaching their full potential, which aligns with your department's operational goals and objectives.

• Advocate for fellow nurses and support their professional development
• Support the performance of your unit and its members
• Provide rapid, individualized, comprehensive care
• Make swift and critical assessments, perform skilled procedures, and implement urgent patient care plans
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, advanced practice providers, paramedics, and support staff
• Mentor others in areas such as competency, documentation, equipment use, plan of care, National Patient Safety Goals (NPSG), and participate in inservice education
• Provide direct patient care as appropriate to meet the needs of the patients and department
• Evaluate care given by staff
• Coach staff to improve care
• Ensure standard of care is maintained
• Exhibit a general understanding of the process for dealing with ethical dilemmas and understand the process for obtaining an Ethics Consult

Job Requirements

• Required: Associate of Nursing (ADN), Diploma, or foreign equivalent
• Two (2) years RN experience with in applicable clinical specialty
• Registered Nurse: AZ or compact state license
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support - CPR
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support
• Preferred: Bachelor's of Nursing (BSN)
• Previous Charge Nurse experience
• Previous experience with personal computers

Pay Range $42.85 - $63.77 /hour
