Job Summary and Responsibilities

You'll oversee a department of frontline nurses caring for patients. Your previous experience in acute care adds tremendous value to our nursing team. Every day you will advocate for your fellow nurses as you support them in reaching their full potential, which aligns with your department's operational goals and objectives.

• Serve as a resource to staff
• Direct patient flow
• Assure appropriate utilization of resources
• Provide oversight for the provision of quality care in a manner satisfying to patients

To thrive in this role, you need to be accountable and confident. You're an excellent communicator in 1:1 interactions and in front of groups. It's also important for you to be comfortable holding tough conversations, as you are responsible for the performance of your people and your unit.

• Mentor others in areas such as competency, documentation, equipment use, plan of care, National Patient Safety Goals, and participation in inservice education
• Provides direct patient care as appropriate to meet the needs of the patients and department
• Evaluate care given by staff
• Coach to improve care
• Ensure standard of care is maintained

Job Requirements

• Required: Associate of Nursing, Diploma, or foreign equivalent Registered Nurse: AZ or compact state license American Heart Association Basic Life Support Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 6 - months
• PREFERRED: Bachelors Of Science in Nursing Two (2) years RN experience within applicable clinical specialty Previous Charge Nurse experience Previous experience with personal computers
