Charge Nurse (RN) - ICU

Position Overview Seeking an ICU - Intensive Care Unit Charge Nurse (RN) to oversee departmental functions, coordinate staffing, and ensure high-quality patient care in a clinical setting. Key Responsibilities Provide patient care aligned with standards and evaluate care effectiveness.Supervise and delegate tasks to RNs, LPNs, and CNAs based on patient needs and staff competencies.Manage daily staffing, scheduling, and orientation of new staff members.Act as liaison to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring professional conduct and excellent customer service.Develop and implement plans to meet regulatory requirements and improve departmental processes.Train and mentor staff, monitor customer service performance, and address issues proactively. Qualifications & Skills Registered Nurse license in the state; CPR and ACLS certifications; additional certifications depending on specialty area.Minimum of two years clinical nursing experience; ICU experience preferred.Effective communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to make decisions under pressure.Experience in staff management and change implementation is advantageous. Additional Requirements Educational background includes an accredited nursing degree; BSN preferred.Specialized training or certifications in areas like neonatal, wound care, bariatrics, or management are advantageous.
