Overview
Seeking an ICU Charge Nurse (RN) responsible for leading critical care units, coordinating patient care, supervising staff, and ensuring optimal unit operations.
Responsibilities
- Independently care for critically ill patients, including ventilated individuals and those requiring vasoactive medications.
- Mentor staff on bedside procedures, supervise unit activities, and lead daily operations.
- Develop and implement performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
- Assist with hiring, training, and evaluating staff, maintaining appropriate staffing levels, and ensuring equipment availability.
- Serve on the ICU Rapid Response Team and support critical thinking development among team members.
Qualifications & Skills
- Valid California RN license, CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
- Proven nursing expertise, leadership or management experience preferred, with a minimum of 5 years in critical care.
- Ability to practice independently and foster autonomy in others.
- Strong clinical, organizational, and leadership skills required.
Schedule
Full-time night shifts, with some weekend requirements.
Pay
Up to $25,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.
