Charge Nurse (RN) - ICU

Position Overview: The ICU - Intensive Care Unit Charge Nurse (RN) provides leadership and clinical support within the ICU, assisting the nurse manager/director in coordinating patient care, staff activities, and unit operations. Key Responsibilities Supervise and evaluate patient care, prioritize unit needs, and support staff during assigned shifts.Make patient and staff assignments, delegate tasks, and monitor their effectiveness.Manage staffing levels considering patient acuity, volume, and staff availability.Serve as a role model for exceptional customer service and participate in quality improvement initiatives.Mentor staff, facilitate professional development, and support performance evaluations.Troubleshoot immediate issues, communicate effectively with team members, and serve as a representative on committees or task forces.Assist with clinical duties when not serving as charge nurse and support department goals aligned with the organization’s vision and values. Qualifications & Skills Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.Minimum of 1 year of RN clinical experience.Valid Arizona Nursing License and certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and CPI.Additional certifications such as CCRN or PALS preferred.Strong leadership, communication, and clinical skills to support patient safety and quality care.
