Charge Nurse - MedSurg, Nights

Role Overview: Coordinates the delivery of high-quality nursing care across the patient lifecycle during shifts, addressing operational issues as needed. Provides clinical care based on census demands and communicates patient, departmental, and staff concerns to leadership. Key Responsibilities Ensure the provision of safe, effective nursing care.Serve as a resource and guide for staff members.Communicate effectively with leadership regarding patient care and departmental issues. Qualifications Graduate from an accredited nursing program; Bachelor’s degree preferred.Minimum of 1 year hospital nursing experience; 2+ years preferred.Current RN licensure in relevant state and/or multistate licensure.Required certifications include BCLS, ACLS, PALS, Chemotherapy/Biotherapy, NRP, PEARS, and specialized fetal monitoring training.Additional certifications may be required based on specialty area. Skills & Requirements Strong clinical knowledge and communication skills.Ability to serve as a resource and support to staff.Compliance with certification timelines, especially for emergency and specialty certifications.
