Charge Nurse - Med Surg, Nights

Role Overview: This position involves coordinating and delivering quality nursing care across the patient lifecycle, managing operational issues during shifts, and serving as a resource for staff. The nurse provides clinical care based on census demands and communicates patient, departmental, and staff concerns to leadership. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an accredited nursing school; Bachelor’s degree preferredMinimum of 1 year hospital nursing experience; 2+ years preferredValid RN licensure in the state and/or multistate licensureRequired certifications include BCLS, ACLS, PALS, Chemotherapy/Biotherapy, NRP, PEARS, and PALS (for pediatric care)Additional specialty certifications as applicableEmergency Department nurses must obtain PALS within 30 days if not already certified Key Duties Coordinate nursing care for diverse patient populationsAssist with clinical needs during high census periodsFacilitate communication between staff, patients, and leadershipServe as a resource and guide for nursing staff
