About the role
This position involves coordinating and delivering quality nursing care across the patient lifecycle, managing operational issues during shifts, and serving as a resource for staff. The nurse provides clinical care based on census demands and communicates patient, departmental, and staff concerns to leadership.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate nursing care for diverse patient populations
- Assist with clinical needs during high census periods
- Facilitate communication between staff, patients, and leadership
- Serve as a resource and guide for nursing staff
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 1 year hospital nursing experience; 2+ years preferred
- Valid RN licensure in the state and/or multistate licensure
Skills
- Required certifications include BCLS, ACLS, PALS, Chemotherapy/Biotherapy, NRP, PEARS, and PALS (for pediatric care)
- Additional specialty certifications as applicable
- Emergency Department nurses must obtain PALS within 30 days if not already certified
